West Java Education Calendar Regulations in the new normal period
Currently, the world is experiencing a crisis due to the spread of a dangerous virus that has caused the regulation of the West Java educational calendar to undergo a slight change. The reason is that after the government banned residents from leaving the house so as not to be affected by the virus, learning activities must continue to run during this pandemic period still considered dangerous.
Therefore, changes in the learning system are determined by the education office, and this applies to all educational institutions and institutions in Indonesia. From what was initially face-to-face, students and teachers now have to start online learning using an application to continue learning, although they must force both parties to be able to use gadgets.
Of course, this was initially welcomed by parents, because learning can continue in the midst of this difficult time. For Java and its surroundings, local authorities must comply with regulations set by the training office. With this decision, the West Java educational calendar has certainly undergone changes as well.
If you look deeper, the changes in the rules become more saturated, because the tasks given make it passive and difficult to obtain teaching materials according to the curriculum. Students can only get any material, but even then it lasts a short time without a specific explanation, because online activities cannot always be effective in providing learning.
Education Office and government strive to support learning
Because online activities are considered difficult to do, the government and West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil and several special staff finally tried to provide more utilities to support the learning process. But don’t worry, because the program doesn’t affect the West Java educational calendar, so learning activities can continue to be performed.
Assistance programs to support education in the West Java region include monthly student contributions (IBPD), One-Stop Integrated Schools, West Java Masagi, Economically Disadvantaged Families (KETM), Universal Secondary Education Assistance (BPMU), as well as Vocational High School Revitalization and several scholarships from the West Java Education Office.
Of course, this is good news because the government’s activities want to support learning activities during the contagious virus pandemic. But unfortunately, the program is only valid during the West Java educational calendar period for the period 2020/2021 in the first semester, so the program is completed in December 2020 yesterday.
But don’t worry, even if there is no welfare fund in 2021, you will still get help from the government, especially the West Java Regional Government, which is trying to reduce school tuition fees. Moreover, the government is also still running the KIP and Dana Bos programs to support the learning process in the current new normal period.
Adjusting learning activities in the West Java educational calendar
Currently, the learning activities of all agencies and educational institutions still use online methods, so learning activities still need to be carried out. Although many parents are dissatisfied, but of course it is one of the government’s concerns for their people to be safe and not avoid infectious diseases.
After learning activities began to use online methods, many students have currently been saved from the attack of the infectious virus. Since the start of the second semester of the West Java educational calendar on January 11, 2021 yesterday, many students have begun to get used to online learning methods, so the previous problems have been solved a little.
Later students will continue to use this learning method until it is completely safe and it is confirmed that there is no danger of infectious risk when starting to meet face to face. Yet the Education Office is still trying to change the education curriculum to be more suitable for online learning methods that were initially inappropriate because they used to be face-to-face.
Until now, various new tasks have begun to be given, such as making gymnastic videos or exercises so that students can continue to move actively even if they use online learning methods. Over time, the second semester of the West Java educational calendar will be completed on June 25, 2021, with the method of distributing report cards as the previous semester.
Government asks for cooperation from all parties to support learning
With the current new normal period, learning activities have become more targeted and focused on creating more learning comfort for everyone involved. Be it parents, teachers and students, the Education Office and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikbud) continue to strive to provide the best for their younger generation.
Even over time, the online learning system has begun to be accepted by all circles of society. From kindergarten to lecture activities in higher education, online systems have been used as the most effective learning method to maintain everyone’s health, be it from dangerous virus attacks or other problems.
In addition, there are currently several green zones in West Java that allow students to go to school. But still it should be noted that everyone must follow the current protocols so that certain problems do not arise. The West Java education calendar will also take several steps by following the local government somewhat to adjust the situation.
Green zone in the sense that it is one of the areas with a low level of virus spread, so it is safe for the community for a while. However, the regional government of West Java still strongly encourages the public to follow the current rules. If not, there is a penalty for not complying with the applicable rules.
Use of online learning activities for teachers and students
As we know, online learning is the most effective method now to avoid infectious viral diseases. In addition to normal learning activities that follow the West Java education calendar, teachers must also adapt to the new materials plan from the education office so that they can be more relaxed when teaching.
Since this is new to most people in Indonesia, the early days will obviously be very difficult to get used to due to lack of experience in certain areas. But over time, the regional government of West Java believes that all the personnel and labor workers will be able to get through this difficult time together.
The West Java educational calendar is actually a reference for teachers and trainers to make their best efforts within a predetermined period of time. This, of course, will always be driven by the government so that the Indonesian people can get used to the new learning systems and patterns to face the new normal period.
You as a teacher can continue to do your best to support students to continue growing in the midst of these very poor relationships. Do not lose your spirit and continue trying to continue so that you can welcome a good day in the future. Education will always be a priority to meet the demands of the younger generation.
The government will also continue to try to make the best efforts from the Bos and KIP funds so that all children can enjoy better learning. Not only West Java, but all provinces of Indonesia are also experiencing the same thing and continue to struggle. By referring to the West Java education calendar, we can continue to move forward to improve the performance of the younger generation.
